Hurricane Hits Worlds only Superpower

A Hurricane has finally made land in 'Historic City' in the Deep South of the world's only superpower. Efforts to rescue people became apparent 4-5 days later, once FEMA were informed that the President had indeed hugged some Poor folks. Other Poor simply had to make do, with watching their friends, relatives and communities disappear under a deluge of broken consumers, alligators, snakes & water.

Police & recently battle trained troop units were told to shoot anyone wishing make an effort to survive. Levels rose dangerously as 4 man-made flood barriers broke some 21 hours after the storm hit. The banking sector of 'Historic City' was unaffected while simultaneously, the huge flood plain area, which has been slowly disappearing after being earmarked for development for some time by the business sector, was ignored.
