"On the eve of World War II the German chemical complex of I.G. Farben was the largest chemical manufacturing enterprise in the world, with extraordinary political and economic power and influence within the Hitlerian Nazi state. I. G. has been aptly described as "a state within a state."
The Farben cartel dated from 1925, when organizing genius Hermann Schmitz (with Wall Street financial assistance) created the super-giant chemical enterprise out of six already giant German chemical companies Badische Anilin, Bayer, Agfa, Hoechst, Weiler-ter-Meer, and Griesheim-Elektron. These companies were merged to become Inter-nationale Gesellschaft Farbenindustrie A.G. or I.G. Farben for short. Twenty years later the same Hermann Schmitz was put on trial at Nuremburg for war crimes committed by the I. G. cartel. Other I. G. Farben directors were placed on trial but the American affiliates of I. G. Farben and the American directors of I. G. itself were quietly forgotten; the truth was buried in the archives.
It is these U.S. connections in Wall Street that concern us. Without the capital supplied by Wall Street, there would have been no I. G. Farben in the first place and almost certainly no Adolf Hitler and World War II."

[Allen] Dulles kept his career focused on foreign affairs after the war. Allen and his brother John Foster advised their uncle, Secretary of State Robert Lansing, at the Paris Peace negotiations at Versailles. More diplomatic postings followed in Berlin and Constantinople before Dulles returned to the State Department to head the Division of Near Eastern Affairs. He resigned from the government in 1926 to practice law and, for the next 15 years, he practiced with the firm of Sullivan & Cromwell in New York. Like his acquaintance William J. Donovan, Dulles traveled frequently abroad for business and pleasure in the 1930s, meeting Hitler and Mussolini and other European leaders in the course of his journeys. He joined the Council on Foreign Relations, ran as a Republican for Congress (and lost) in 1938, and advised former colleagues in the Department of State.

The New Deal or the "new economic order" was not a creature of classical liberalism. It was a creature of corporate socialism. Big business as reflected in Wall Street strived for a state order in which they could control industry and eliminate competition, and this was the heart of FDR's New Deal. General Electric, for example, is prominent in both Nazi Germany and the New Deal. German General Electric was a prominent financier of Hitler and the Nazi Party, and A.E.G. also financed Hitler both directly and indirectly through Osram. International General Electric in New York was a major participant in the ownership and direction of both A.E.G. and Osram. Gerard Swope, Owen Young, and A. Baldwin of General Electric in the United States were directors of A.E.G. However, the story does not stop at General Electric and financing of Hitler in 1933.
In a previous book, Wall Street and the Bolshevik Revolution, the author identified the role of General Electric in the Bolshevik Revolution and the geographic location of American participants as at 120 Broadway, New York City; the executive offices of General Electric were also at 120 Broadway. When Franklin Delano Roosevelt was working in Wall Street, his address was also 120 Broadway. In fact, Georgia Warm Springs Foundation, the FDR Foundation, was located at 120 Broadway. The prominent financial backer of an early Roosevelt Wall Street venture from 120 Broadway was Gerard Swope of General Electric. And it was "Swope's Plan" that became Roosevelt's New Deal the fascist plan that Herbert Hoover was unwilling to foist on the United States. In brief, both Hitler's New Order and Roosevelt's New Deal were backed by the same industrialists and in content were quite similar i.e., they were both plans for a corporate state.

The du Ponts helped to finance the Black Legion. The Black Legion was a Nazi style group supported by the du Ponts who were supporters of the Nazi movement in Germany and fanatical followers of the Third Reich. The organization was an American anti-socialist group that used violence against union leaders and union members. They have been implicated in the murder of several members of workers groups who were working in support of workers rights and benefits. The Black Legion was reported to have over 1.5 million members in the United States and was a group that was opposed to the FDR administration and was supposedly working to overthrow the administration. WAR is a racket. It always has been.
It is possibly the oldest, easily the most profitable, surely the most vicious. It is the only one international in scope. It is the only one in which the profits are reckoned in dollars and the losses in lives.
A racket is best described, I believe, as something that is not what it seems to the majority of the people. Only a small "inside" group knows what it is about. It is conducted for the benefit of the very few, at the expense of the very many. Out of war a few people make huge fortunes.
In the World War [I] a mere handful garnered the profits of the conflict. At least 21,000 new millionaires and billionaires were made in the United States during the World War. That many admitted their huge blood gains in their income tax returns. How many other war millionaires falsified their tax returns no one knows.
How many of these war millionaires shouldered a rifle? How many of them dug a trench? How many of them knew what it meant to go hungry in a rat-infested dug-out? How many of them spent sleepless, frightened nights, ducking shells and shrapnel and machine gun bullets? How many of them parried a bayonet thrust of an enemy? How many of them were wounded or killed in battle?
Out of war nations acquire additional territory, if they are victorious. They just take it. This newly acquired territory promptly is exploited by the few - the selfsame few who wrung dollars out of blood in the war. The general public shoulders the bill.
And what is this bill?
This bill renders a horrible accounting. Newly placed gravestones. Mangled bodies. Shattered minds. Broken hearts and homes. Economic instability. Depression and all its attendant miseries. Back-breaking taxation for generations and generations.
For a great many years, as a soldier, I had a suspicion that war was a racket; not until I retired to civil life did I fully realize it. Now that I see the international war clouds gathering, as they are today, I must face it and speak out.

GM's Knudsen called Nazi Germany "the miracle of the 20th
century." In 1939 Dulles told the Economic Club of New York: "We
have to welcome and nurture the desire of the New Germany to find
for her energies a new outlet."
Dulles later became secretary of state under the Eisenhower
administration. His brother Allen--who as a young Foreign Service
agent helped install Europe's first fascist regime, that of
Miklos Horthy in Hungary in 1921--became the CIA's first

You may substitute Tories, or Economic Royalists, or Vested Interests, or whatever you like for the flag-waving anti-American Americans whose efforts and objectives parallel those of the Liga Industriale which bought out Mussolini in 1920, and the Thyssen-Krupp-Voegeler-Flick Rhineland industry and banking system which subsidized Hitler when Naziism was about to collapse. Their main object was to end the civil liberties of the nation, destroy the labor unions, end the free press, and make more money at the expense of a slave nation. Both succeeded. And in America one similar organization has already made the following historical record:
1. Organized big business in a movement against labor.
2. Founded the Liberty League to fight civil liberties.
3. Subsidized anti-labor, Fascist and anti-Semitic organizations (Senator Black's Lobby Investigation).
4. Signed a pact with Nazi agents for political and economic (cartel) penetration of U. S. (Exposed in In Fact).
5. Founded a $1,000,000-a-year propaganda outfit to corrupt the press, radio, schools and churches.
6. Stopped the passage of food, drug and other laws aimed to safeguard the consumer, i.e., 132,000,000 Americans.
7. Conspired, with DuPont as leader, in September, 1942, to sabotage the war effort in order to maintain profits.
8. Sabotage the U. S. defense plan in 1940 by refusing to convert the auto plants and by a sit-down of capital against plant expansion; sabotage the oil, aluminum and rubber expansion programs. (If any of these facts are not known to you it is because 99% of our press, in the pay of the same elements, suppressed the Tolan, Truman, Bone Committee reports, Thurman Arnold's reports, the TNEC Monopoly reports and other Government documents.)

Edward Henry Harriman (1848-1909) made his fortune speculating on the stock market. In 1897, he took over the bankrupt Union Pacific Railroad, and then went on to build a railroad empire in the West. When he died, his wife inherited his money. The following year, she provided $500,000 to found the Eugenics Record Office. The Eugenics Record Office was involved in the forced sterilization campaigns and the anti-immigration laws.
In 1932, the Third International Eugenics Congress was held in New York, at the Museum of Natural History. (The First International Eugenics Congress had been in 1912 in London, and the Second was in New York.) Mrs. E. H. Harriman was among the sponsors, along with Mrs. H. B. DuPont and Dr. J. Harvey Kellogg, among others.

IBM builds baby Blue Gene computer
IBM has built a version of the Blue Gene/L supercomputer for itself. Said to be the most powerful privately owned computer in the world, IBM intends to carry out its own research on the machine as well as renting out its time to third parties.
Taking up the space of 20 refrigerator-sized racks, the Blue Gene is installed at IBM's own Thomas Watson research laboratory in New York State. Known as the BGW, the baby Blue has a processing speed of 91.29 teraflops. IBM claims that this makes it one of the three fastest in the world including the sister machine the Blue Gene/L supercomputer installed at the Lawrence Livermore laboratory.
IBM says that the BGW machine can be applied to a variety of outside work including life sciences, hydrodynamics, materials sciences, quantum chemistry, molecular dynamics, fluid dynamics and business applications.
In case anyone is wondering what IBM is planning to do with its stocks of PowerPC chips now that Apple does not want them, the BlueGene/L is about to get a further boost. When work to install a 64 rack system with over 130,000 IBM PowerPC processors is completed later this year at the DOE's/NNSA's Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL), the resulting machine will have a peak flow of 360 teraflops. -

| Scientist calls for world DNA database
Everyone in the world should have their genetic profile stored on a database, but the information should be held independently of the authorities, according to the pioneer of DNA fingerprinting.
Current practice means that only the DNA of criminals is stored in most countries and the information is held by government agencies.

"If any of you had been in Thailand or Indonesia on holiday and, heaven forbid, killed by the tsunami, how would you have been identified? IBM to build first computer model of brain
International Business Machines Corp is linking with a team of Swiss scientists to create the world’s first accurate, computer-based model of the brain, the U.S. company said on Monday
The researchers hope that modeling the brain at the cellular level will give new insights into the workings of the most complex organ in the body.
The immediate goal is to model the circuitry in the neocortex, which accounts for about 85 percent of the human brain’s mass and is thought to be responsible for language, learning, memory and complex thought.

Blue Gene/L officially commissioned for nuclear testing
The US National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) has officially commissioned the two new, next-generation Blue Gene/L supercomputers. The IBM machines will be housed at the organisation's Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL).
The machine is part of a pair of super systems. The other, dubbed Purple, is a machine capable of 100 teraflops and also takes its place among the most powerful computers on Earth. Between them, the Purple and BlueGene/L systems can generate half a petaflop, or 1,000,000,000,000,000 operations per second. The machines
will be used to run three-dimensional codes and simulate the nuclear explosions as an alternative to underground weapons testing which ceased 20 years ago.
The Blue Gene/L recently ran a record-setting materials science application at 101.5 teraflops sustained over seven hours on the machine's 131,072 processors. The application involved the simulation of the cooling process in a molten actinide uranium system considered vital to monitor the continued state of US nuclear weapons.
NNSA Administrator Linton F. Brooks said that in more recent tests the BlueGene/L supercomputer set a new mind boggling world record of 280.6 teraflops per second. In June of this year, the Lawrence Livermore Blue Gene officially became the world's fastest computer. However, the engineers have been busily adding computing capacity so that the performance of the machine has quadrupled in just 12 months. - computer shopper

"About 1918, Albert Scherbius took his idea of the "rotating rotors" in a cipher machine to the German military. They weren't interested in his ideas at that point in time and so Scherbius took his idea to a German company called Gewerkschaft Securitas. That company bought his patents. The first Enigma machine was produced in the early 1920's. It was an electrical enciphering machine which provided "better" encryptions of messages than other machines at the time because of the rotating rotors."

Rotor machines
A rotor machine is an electro-mechanical encryption device whose primary component is the rotor, a rotating disk with electrical contacts on either side. Each rotor implements a substitution alphabet, and by changing the arrangement or positioning of the rotors, entirely new substitution alphabets can be easily arranged. The selection of which alphabet to use for encoding a particular letter of plaintext is handled mechanically by spinning the rotors, unlike a much smaller number of possible substitution alphabets provided for in such systems as the Vigen�e Cipher.

Crypto AG
Crypto AG was founded in 1952 by the (Russian-born) Swedish cryptographer Boris Hagelin who located his company in Zug. Boris had created the "Hagelin-machine", a encryption device similar to the German "Enigma". The Hagelin machine was used on the side of the Allies in World War II.
Crypto AG was an old and venerable firm, and Switzerland was a neutral country. So Crypto AG's enciphering devices for voice communication and digital data networks were popular, and customers came from 130 countries. These included the Vatican, as well the governments of Iraq, Iran, and Libya. -

Crypto AG is the descendant firm of that founded by A Damm to manufacture cypher Encryption is the process of converting information from its normal, comprehensible form into an obscured guise, unreadable without special knowledge. This is usually done for secrecy, and typically for confidential communications. Encryption can ensure a good measure of confidentiality (secrecy), but may not be able to provide authentication. Even when encrypted, messages can be subject to traffic analysis.

SWEDISH CRYPTOLOGY: A magician does not reveal his secrets?
Boris Hagelin (1892-1983), a Russian-born Swede, who developed Damm's ideas during the 1920s and made a fortune selling the B-211 series of cipher machines to the French and Russian armies. He then took his know-how to New York in April 1940 and made another fortune selling the M209/CSP1500 to the US Army/Navy, and, as if that were not enough, his company Crypto AG made yet another fortune after the war selling cipher machines worldwide during the early decades of the Cold War.
Then there is Arne Beurling (1905-1986), one time head of Sweden's cryptological service, and subject of a recent best-selling analysis by Bengt Beckman (Beckman, 2003 in Britain). It was Beurling who in 1941 first broke into the German Geheimschreiber system (see Part 3), and after the war his reputation was such that when he took up a post at Princeton University's Institute of Advanced Studies in 1965, he was allocated to Room #115, where Albert Einstein had once worked. Beurling died leaving no published explanation of how he broke the Geheimschreiber: "A magician," he insisted, "does not reveal his secrets". -

Stimson ignores the enigma?
The fate of the American owned Enigma is a peculiar tale. The US Signal Corps had acquired it in 1927, and the cryptoanalysis department had been working on it. However, in May 1929 Secretary of State Henry Stimson declared that "gentlemen do not read each others mail" and work on the Enigma was abandoned, as was virtually all cryptoanalysis. Signal Corps Major P.W. Evans had actually seen a German Enigma demonstrated and explained, his report was filed away.

History rewritten?
During a visit to the United States in 1930, German officials demonstrated their code machine, Enigma, to Maj. P.W. Evans of the US Army Signal Corps. They boasted to Maj. Evans that this encryption device was 'unbreakable.' [Mo] During World War II, the Luftwaffe High Command sent a message to a field officer assuring him Enigma was 'unbreakable.' This message was encrypted using Enigma. How do we know such a message was sent? Because British codebreakers at Bletchley park were able to decrypt it shortly after it was intercepted.

The Poles started the process of cracking the Enigma
by late June 1939 it was apparent that the German invasion was not far off. The Polish Chiefs-of-Staff therefore resolved to share their accumulated Enigma secrets with their French and British allies. An approach accordingly went out through diplomatic channels, and ended up on the desk of Commander Alexander G.A. ("Alastair") Denniston (1881-1961).

BACKGROUND: Denniston had been a code breaking expert during World War One, and had kept "Blinker" Hall's Room 40 skill base alive by forming the Government Code and Cypher [sic] School (GCCS) in 1920. He had then run GCCS (known cryptically as "Station X") as a small peacetime unit attached to the Foreign Office, where it could serve the diplomatic and peacetime military intelligence worlds. The organisation was then progressively expanded during the 1930s, as it became more and more apparent that another war was on its way, and was moved out of London in 1938 to the newly acquired house and estate of Bletchley Park. It was from this base that it formed a key element in a high level British military intelligence project codenamed "Ultra".

Realising the potential importance of the Polish work, Denniston personally led a top-secret mission in late July 1939 to the Biuro Szyfr� station hidden in the Lasy Kabackie, the woods outside Pyry, a small town south of Warsaw. He was accompanied by Alfred Dillwyn ("Dilly") Knox (1884-1943), one of his long-term Room 40 colleagues, and Commander Humphrey Sandwith, of the naval intelligence service. Together, they toured the Polish decoding school, observed their methods, studied their thus-far-unsuccessful attempts to defeat the three-from-five Enigmas, and brought back specimens of the sort of paperwork which needed to be done before a bomba could be set to work. The Poles also offered them one of the replica Enigmas, and this seems to have been brought out of the country in a diplomatic bag a few days later, and collected personally by Colonel (later Sir) Stewart Graham Menzies, head of MI6, in a furtive suitcase-swap at London's Victoria Station during that August (Kahn, 1991). - source

"Henry L. Stimson" (S&B 1888) was President Taft's secretary of war (1911-13), and President Herbert Hoover's secretary of state (1929-33). As secretary of war (1940-45), Stimson pressed President Truman to drop the atomic bomb on the Japanese. This decision involved much more than merely "pragmatic" military considerations. These Anglophiles, up through George Bush, have opposed the American republic's tradition of alliance with national aspirations in Asia. And they worried that the invention of nuclear energy would too powerfully unsettle the world's toleration for poverty and misery. Both the United States and the atom had better be dreaded, they thought.
The present century owes much of its record of horrors to certain Anglophile American families which have employed Skull and Bones as a political recruiting agency, particularly the Harrimans, Whitneys, Vanderbilts, Rockefellers and their lawyers, the Lords and Tafts and Bundys.

By 1945, Stimson was receiving more direct information about World War II than any other U.S. official. Army Chief of Staff George Marshall reported directly to Stimson, and as a member of the "Committee of Three" with Sec. of the Navy James Forrestal and Under Sec. of State Joseph Grew, Stimson also received information directly from the Sec. of the Navy. Grew provided Stimson with the State Department's diplomatic information on the war.
Stimson also knew much about an important factor known to few others: the atomic bomb project. In June 1942 the transfer of the a-bomb project to the Army was begun, and from May 1, 1943 until his retirement on Sept. 21, 1945, Stimson was directly responsible to the President for the Manhattan Project (Henry Stimson, McGeorge Bundy, "On Active Service in Peace and War", pg. 612-613).

The Stimson links continue
W. C. Whitney , who married Flora Payne (of the Standard Oil Payne dynasty), was Secretary of the Navy. His attorney was a man named Elihu Root. Root hired Henry Stimson , out of law school. Stimson took over from Root as Secretary of War in 1911, appointed by fellow Bonesman William Howard Taft. Stimson later became Coolidge's Governor-General of the Philippine Islands, Hoover's Secretary of State, and Secretary of War during the Roosevelt and Truman administrations.
Hollister Bundy was Stimson's special assistant and point man in the Pentagon for the Manhattan Project. His two sons, also members of Skull and Bones, were William Bundy and McGeorge Bundy -- both very active in governmental and foundation affairs.
The two brothers, from their positions in the CIA, the Department of Defense and the State Department, and as Special Assistants to Presidents Kennedy and Johnson, exercised significant impact on the flow of information and intelligence during the Vietnam "War."
William Bundy went on to be editor of Foreign Affairs, the influential quarterly of the Council on Foreign Affairs (CFR). McGeorge became president of the Ford Foundation.
Another interesting group of "Bonesmen" is the Harriman/Bush crowd. Averil Harriman , "Elder Statesman" of the Democratic Party, and his brother Roland Harriman were very active members. In fact, four of Roland's fellow "Bonesmen" from the class of 1917 were directors of Brown Brothers, Harriman, including Prescott Bush , George Bush's dad.

It may be the greatest intelligence scam of the century:
For decades, the US has routinely intercepted and deciphered top secret encrypted messages of 120 countries. These nations had bought the world's most sophisticated and supposedly secure commercial encryption technology from Crypto AG, a Swiss company that staked its reputation and the security concerns of its clients on its neutrality.
The purchasing nations, confident that their communications were protected, sent messages from their capitals to embassies, military missions, trade offices, and espionage dens around the world, via telex, radio, teletype, and facsimile. They not only conducted sensitive albeit legal business and diplomacy, but sometimes strayed into criminal matters, issuing orders to assassinate political leaders, bomb commercial buildings, and engage in drug and arms smuggling. All the while, because of a secret agreement between the National Security Agency (NSA) and Crypto AG, they might as well have been hand delivering the message to Washington.
Their Crypto AG machines had been rigged so that when customers used them, the random encryption key could be automatically and clandestinely transmitted with the enciphered message. NSA analysts could read the message traffic as easily as they could the morning newspaper.

The Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion were circulated throughout Europe during the early decades of the twentieth century, and many people believed them. That led, at least in part, to the anti-Semitism that brought Adolph Hitler to power. Henry Ford supported the Nazis, and Hitler acknowledged his support by awarding him the highest German medal available to civilians. That would have been logical if Henry Ford really believed that Jewish bankers were responsible for the Bolshevik Revolution, and Hitler opposed them.

There were then both corporate and individual bridges between FDR,s America and Hitler's Germany. The first bridge was the American I.G. Farben, American affiliate of I.G. Farben, the largest German corporation.
On the board of American I.G. sat Paul Warburg, of the Bank of Manhattan and the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.
The second bridge was between International General' Electric, a wholly owned subsidiary of General Electric Company and its partly owned affiliate in Germany, A.E.G. Gerard Swope, who formulated FDR's New Deal, was chairman of I.G.E. and on the board of A.E.G.
The third "bridge" was between Standard Oil of New Jersey and Vacuum Oil and its wholly owned German subsidiary, Deutsche-Amerikanisehe Gesellschaft.
The chairman of Standard Oil of New Jersey was Walter Teagle, of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. He was a trustee of Franklin Delano Roosevelt's Georgia Warm Springs Foundation and appointed by FDR to a key administrative post in the National Recovery Administration.

The Robber Barons saw it coming. Their lawyers, the Dulles brothers, had a contingency plan. They had established three banks, one in Germany, one in Holland, and one in New York (the Union Banking Corporation, headed by the ever-useful son-in-law Prescott Bush). No matter who won World war II, the corporate stocks would be shifted around to whichever bank was in a neutral country when the war was over.
After WW II, the Dulles brothers' shell game deceived a gullible and war-weary world. The "neutral" Dutch bank reclaimed their German assetts as "stolen" by the Nazis, and the whole merry fraud continued. Prescott Bush got his Union Bank back from the US Government in 1951, despite its seizure in 1942 as a Nazi front. Prescott Bush and father-in-law Walker were paid two shares worth about $1.5 million in 1951 dollars. It was a petty payoff for a job well done.
