...well i think that the ultimate way to create electricity is hidden within them. before i start i'll just say that yes this is very impractical and there probably isn't the resources to make it and it could obscure sun light, but it's an idea no more, no less and it doesn't need to be anything else. the idea is that a large ring of wire is built encircling the earth, with some gaps to allow light through and for maintainance. the ring is postioned some where around the region of the geostationary orbit, preferably some where which doesn't interfere with to many satilites. then a very big magnet is placed in side it a roughly the distance which allows it to contiually descend without hitting earth. the magnet will then continually pass through the wire generating huge quantities of electricity without the use of pollutants. the electricity could be relayed back to earth on long wires or cables or maybe even stored in large space bound batteries which can then be transported back to earth using space shuttles or other craft."

A dynamo (or electric generator) is a device converting the energy of motion to that of an electric current.
The concept goes back to Michael Faraday (1791-1867). The son of a poor blacksmith, Faraday was apprenticed to a bookbinder and taught himself by reading books brought to be rebound. He rose to become Britain's foremost scientist, famous for his brilliant insights and his popular lectures. Faraday discovered that by moving a magnet next to a closed electric circuit, or changing the magnetic field passing through it, an electric current could be "induced" to flow in it. That "electromagnetic induction" remains the principle behind electric generators, transformers and many other devices.

The dynamo is powered by convection, a process that has continued for most of geological time, leaving a magnetic record several billion years long. The geomagnetic field is chaotic and complex in both time and space, and undergoes apparently random reversals in polarity, along with more frequent events called excursions, which appear to be aborted reversals. A basic symmetry makes the dynamo equations independent of the sign of the magnetic field, and some understanding of polarity reversals comes from this basic symmetry. The overall dipolar structure of the geomagnetic field is clearly controlled by rotational forces, reflecting another basic symmetry: reflection in the equatorial plane.

In spite of all the hoopla about the hydrogen economy, it is important to understand that Hydrogen is not a source of energy. It is a carrying medium. If you ask, in the energy context, "What do you think about hydrogen?" that would be equivalent to asking, "What do you think about copper?" Well, it does make nice wire for conducting electricity after all.

"...analysis reveals that much more energy is needed to operate a hydrogen economy than is required for fossil energy supply and distribution today. In fact, the input of electrical energy to make, package, transport, store and transfer hydrogen may easily exceed the hydrogen energy delivered to the end user - implying a well-to-tank efficiency of less than 50 per cent.
However, precious energy can be saved by packaging hydrogen chemically in a synthetic liquid hydrocarbon like methanol or ethanol. To de-couple energy use from global warming, the use of "geo-carbons" from fossil sources should be avoided. However, carbon atoms from biomass, organic waste materials or recycled carbon dioxide could become the carriers for hydrogen atoms. Furthermore, energy intensive electrolysis may be partially replaced by the less energy intensive chemical transformation of water and carbon to natural and synthetic hydrocarbons, including bio-methanol and bio-ethanol. Hence, the closed natural hydrogen (water) cycle and the closed natural carbon (CO2) cycle may be used to produce synthetic hydrocarbons for a post-fossil fuel energy economy. As long as the carbon comes from the biosphere ("bio-carbon"), the synthetic hydrocarbon economy would be far better than the elemental hydrogen economy - both energetically and thus environmentally...

When hydrocarbons are burned they form carbon dioxide and water. They are thus non-renewable on the human time scale. Excessive burning of fossil fuels leads to increased atmospheric levels of carbon dioxide, which has been linked to global warming and climatic changes.
In addition to trying to keep carbon dioxide levels down through reducing burning of fossil fuels (the basis of the 1997 Kyoto agreement), new solutions are needed.
An innovative new approach pursued by the Institute is directed at reversing the process by producing hydrocarbons from carbon dioxide and water via methyl alcohol. Some of the underlying chemistry to convert carbon dioxide using hydrogen gas (obtained by electrolytically splitting water) is known.
Metal or superacid catalyzed reduction pursued by the Institute has made significant progress to bring about the feasibility of CO2 conversion to methanol.
However, electricity needed for generating hydrogen is costly and remains the key to practical applications. As we still cannot store electricity efficiently, power plants in their off-peak periods could produce hydrogen as a means of storing electricity. Hydrogen then could be used to recycle CO2 (from smokestack emissions or other concentrated sources, eventually even the atmosphere) into methyl alcohol and derived fuels. The carbon dioxide recycling technology now under development allows us not only to produce useful fuels and hydrocarbon products, at the same time can contribute to mitigating CO2 related global warming.

Energy from vibration:
Imagine using a computer that runs on energy generated from your building's wall and window vibrations. Masayuki Miyazaki, a senior researcher at Hitachi Co. Ltd.'s central lab in Tokyo, is trying to do just that.
He recently made a tiny generator that converts building movements into electricity, creating enough energy to run a temperature or light sensor once an hour. Though the output is small right now, only about 10 microwatts, scientists predict the generator's potential could be huge in coming decades - possibly used in battery-free computing systems.
Dr. Miyazaki's work is part of a growing movement by scientists to find, create, or capture alternative sources of energy - even in small amounts much less than one watt. Researchers hope to harvest power from anything from the vibrations of walls and windows to the movements of air and the human body.
While alternative energy sources alone might not produce much electricity, they could help power small devices such as computer chips, wireless sensor networks, or cellphones. The idea is simple. Just as some wristwatches power themselves from the random movements of a person's arm, these devices would capture energy from random movements of other things.

Japanese researcher turning cattle dung into motor fuel
Sat, March 4, 2006 - By AP - TOKYO -- Scientists in energy-poor Japan said yesterday they have found a new source of motor fuel -- cattle dung.
Sakae Shibusawa, an agriculture engineering professor at the Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology, said his team has extracted 1.4 millilitres of a gasoline-like liquid fuel from every 100 grams of cow dung by applying high pressure and heat.
"The technology will be a boon for livestock breeders" to reduce the burden of disposing of large amounts of waste, Shibusawa said. Japan produces about 500,000 tonnes of cattle dung a year, he said. The team hopes to improve the technology so that it can be used commercially within five years, Shibusawa said.
Liquid fuel from cow dung is unheard of, said Tomiaki Tamura, an official of the Natural Resources and Energy Agency. Japan relies almost totally on imports for its oil and gasoline needs. - London Free Press

Power is distributed by coupling a power source to the human body via a first set of electrodes. One or more devise to be powered, e.g., peripheral devices, are also coupled to the human body via additional sets of electrodes. The devices may be, e.g., a speaker, display, watch, keyboard, etc. A pulsed DC signal or AC signal may be used as the power source. By using multiple power supply signals of differing frequencies, different devices can be selectively powered. Digital data and/or other information signals, e.g., audio signals, can be modulated on the power signal using frequency and/or amplitude modulation techniques.

Another project detected an effect of scalar energy on neurotransmitter function, which mimicked the effect of antidepressant medication. Scalars appear to modulate the basic biochemical communication between nerve cells mediated by neurotransmitters. Cultured nerve cells called PC 12 cells were isolated from rats, and the functional properties of noradrenaline release from PC 12 cells was shown to be increased by a 500Hz monopolar square wave, and noradrenaline uptake was inhibited by a 15Hz biopolar square wave, (Rein).
Noradrenaline uptake was chosen because it is directly mediated by the plasma membrane via an intramembrane protein carrier. The plasma membrane, with its liquid-crystal structure, is the critical cellular barrier which interfaces with the chemical and electromagnetic environment. Since other intramembrane proteins show non-linear properties, the plasma membrane is a likely target for scalar energy.
The physiological function of carrier mediated neurotransmitter uptake is to remove excess neurotransmitter from the synaptic cleft after its release from presynaptic nerves. Thus, inhibiting uptake results in the accumulation of the neurotransmitter in the synaptic cleft. This is the mechanism of action of tricyclic antidepressants, since they inhibit noradrenaline uptake.
Depression is associated with decreased noradrenaline levels. Rein exposed confluent monolayer culture of PC12 cells to noradrenaline in the presence or absence of scalar energy. After 30 minutes, the cells were washed and centrifuged and noradrenaline uptake measured. Overall, uptake was inhibited by 19.5% in the presence of the scalar field as compared with the control value obtained in its absence. This is a significant statistical difference of p 0.01. Researchers think a wide variety of physiological changes could be created resulting in improvement of a variety of clinical diseases, only one of which could be depression. Scalar energy can have a direct effect on the cell membrane. Owing to the similarity of our construction and the sameness of our environment, we respond in like manner to similar stimuli, and from the concordance of our reactions, understanding is barn. In the course of ages, mechanisms of infinite complexity are developed, but what we call "soul " or "spirit," is nothing more than the sum of the functionings of the body. When this functioning ceases, the "soul" or the "spirit" ceases likewise.
I expressed these ideas long before the behaviorists, led by Pavlov in Russia and by Watson in the United States, proclaimed their new psychology. This apparently mechanistic conception is not antagonistic to an ethical conception of life. The acceptance by mankind at large of these tenets will not destroy religious ideals. Today Buddhism and Christianity are the greatest religions both in number of disciples and in importance. I believe that the essence of both will he the religion of the human race in the twenty-first century.
The year 2100 will see eugenics universally established. In past ages, the law governing the survival of the fittest roughly weeded out the less desirable strains. Then man's new sense of pity began to interfere with the ruthless workings of nature. As a result, we continue to keep alive and to breed the unfit. The only method compatible with our notions of civilization and the race is to prevent the breeding of the unfit by sterilization and the deliberate guidance of the mating instinct, Several European countries and a number of states of the American Union sterilize the criminal and the insane. This is not sufficient. The trend of opinion among eugenists is that we must make marriage more difficult. Certainly no one who is not a desirable parent should be permitted to produce progeny.
