Global un-democratic control:
The Illuminati - Murderous Global managers masked in a Mystery cult
The main features of the Adam Weishaupt plan of operation required his Illuminati to do the following things to help them to accomplish their purpose:
1. Monetary and sex bribery was to be used to obtain control of men already in high places in the various levels of all governments and other fields of endeavor. Once influential persons had fallen for the lies, deceits, and temptations of the Illuminati, they were to be held in bondage by application of political and other forms of blackmail, threats of financial ruin, public exposure, and physical harm, even death to themselves and loved
members of their families.
2. The Illuminati who were on the faculty of colleges and universities were to cultivate students possessing exceptional mental ability and who belonged to well-bred families with international leanings, and recommend them for special training in Internationalism. Such training was to be provided by granting scholarships, like the Rhodes Scholarship, to those selected by the Illuminati. All such scholars were to be first persuaded and then convinced that men of special talent and brains had the right to rule those less gifted on the grounds that the masses do not know what is best for them physically, mentally, and spiritually.
3. All influential people who were trapped to come under the control of the Illuminati, plus the students who had been specially educated and trained, were to be used as agents and placed behind the scenes of all governments as experts and specialists. They would advise the top executives to adopt policies which would, in the long run, serve the secret plans of the Illuminati's one world conspiracy, and bring about the destruction of the governments and religions they were elected or appointed to serve.
4. They were to obtain absolute control of the press so that all news and inforation could be slanted to convince the masses that a one world government is the only solution to our many and varied problems. They were also to own and control all the national radio and TV channels.
After reading these four points of strategy, we have to admit that our mass communications media is controlled at all levels, and that at all levels our governments are also infiltrated and controlled, just like Weishaupt had planned back in the 1700's. Unfortunately, few people are aware of this fact, which is why they make little sense out of many of the world events that take place today.
Myron Fagan-
"The Illuminati has become synonymous with the one world conspiracy. The political organizations they have set up and their financiers have all come to be referred to as the Illuminati. What most people don't know is that the Luciferic order that was founded in 1776 by Adam Weishaupt, a prominent Freemason. It was created as a special order within the order of Freemasonry. The order's name, meaning "enlightened ones" signified that its members had been initiated into the secret teachings of Lucifer, the supposed "light bearer" or source of enlightenment." - The Insider, Vol. 13
The Illuminati, also called "Olympians" and "Moriah Conquering Wind," are a "network" of interconnected "bloodlines" who call themselves "The Family" or "The Circle." Intergenerational satanism, or more accurately Luciferianism, is their primary belief structure. They consider themselves a tribe set apart, a proud super race who trace their genealogical origin back to Nimrod. By the way, they also believe that they are the designated rulers of Planet Earth. - Uri Dowbenko

The genetic superiority claims of the Dragon Court's Sovereign Grand Master Prince Nicholas de Vere von Drakenberg reveal much about the Western world's obsession with natural shamanism. Drakenberg and the Holy Grail bloodline aristocracy believe they possess unique genes which raises them above mere mortals, allowing them communication with "The Gods" and supernatural magickal power. However, they equally believe the indigenous peoples of the world to be "sub-human", and to be preventing the human race from further evolutionary advancements. And yet there are countless accounts documented by anthropologists of indigenous shamans "walking with God", "visiting God's house", or "speaking with God". - shamana.co.uk

Dragon Lineage...racial purity, Royal witchcraft
excerpts from an interview with Prince Nicholas de Vere von Drakenberg
TT: How did you begin research into your family history? At what point in your life did you become aware of "the Dragon legacy" in your family? Is it something you grew up with?
NDV: From the age of seven onwards my father told me about our ancestry, an ancestry steeped in royal blood and most significantly of all, in what is termed Royal Witchcraft, which is a major, ancient, draconian, druidic facet continuing within the later history of the Dragon tradition and within the Vere family.
My father educated me about our particular origins in the royal and noble Blackwood family of Lanark, Scotland. This dynasty sired the most significant practitioner of the Dragon tradition in his time: Major Thomas Weir of Vere of Edinburgh, my 11th great grandfather.
|
As a witch lord and the prince consort to the elven queen of the Lallan, Thomas performed the ancient Gaelic rites of the sacred kingship of Epona, and consequently founded this rite of kingship within my lineage. So I received the tradition at an early age from my father and he received it from his father, and so on.
[snip]
TT: Who are the "Dragons" that you write about in your book?
NDV: In brief, the recorded Dragon lineage starts with the Annunaki and descends through the proto-Scythians, the Sumerians in one branch and the early Egyptians in another; the Phoenicians, the Mittani, back to the Scythians again through marital alliance, along to the "Tuatha de Danaan" and the Fir Bolg; down through their Arch-Druidic, Priest-Princely families, to the Royal Picts of Scotland and the high kings of the Horse Lords of Dal Riada; through to the Elven dynasty of Pendragon and Avallon del Acqs, and down to a few pure bred families today.
TT: Were the Dragons originally a separate species from what we would call "human"?
NDV: Dragon tradition related to all the current genetic and historical evidence says yes they were. Both relatively recent and ancient accounts of Dragons or Elves going back to the Annunaki speak of them as having clearly distinct physical attributes, and these attributes are inherited from a species that scientists now assert preceded the human genetic bottleneck by about thirty thousand years. These attributes are not human in the accepted sense. Whether this ancient race was hybridised with another before history is anybody's guess, but their later hybridisation to produce the Elven God-Kings and Ring Lords (the King Tribe), is clearly recorded in the Cylinder Rolls.
[snip]
TT: Is Dragon blood the true source of divine right kingship, in your opinion? Are the Dragons the rightful rulers of the world's governments?
NDV: Anciently Dragon blood, the blood of the gods, is the true source of divine right kingship. To say that Dragons are the rightful rulers of the world's governments today might raise some contention. Perhaps it would be more realistic to suggest that they may well be the rightful rulers of the world's governments in the future.

The European Council of Princes
INTERNATIONAL COUNCIL OF GOVERNMENT
The European Council of Princes was founded in 1946 following the Second World War. At that time it was called The International Council of Government. Embodying the key Crown and ducal Heads of Europe, its original purpose was to resist the rise and spread of Communism in the West. For this cause, substantial funds were provided from the USA and the Head of the Imperial House of Austria was elected to preside over the Council. The only significant Royal House to decline its invitation was Britain's House of Windsor. As time progressed, the Council became deeply involved at an international parliamentary level and was especially concerned with the maintenance of people's rights and freedoms in Europe. With the introduction of the Common Market and the resultant European Economic Community, the Council of Government became less active in respect of individual countries. Subsequently, much of its thinking was applied to Europe as a whole. When the European Parliament was established, the sovereign International Council of Government was re-styled to become the European Council of Princes, with its active participation emanating more from the heirs of reigning, deposed and dispossessed Houses. The Council then became a specialist consultative organization, advising on constitutional and civil rights matters. In 1992 the revised Council was registered in Brussels by Prof. Yasmin Hohenzollern, Prinzezin Von Lansleburg, Président U.T.E. (Union Télévision Européen) - EEC (now European Union: EU) Communications. Princess Yasmin is of Imperial descent from Emperor Frederick I Barbarossa (1152-1190) and the House of Hohenstaufen.
REPRESENTATIVE OBLIGATIONS
Currently, the Council is concerned that the European Parliament frequently oversteps its mandate. This is demonstrated by the imposition of central dictates upon individual countries which should be treated separately within a European framework for the common good. Consequently, a primary aim of the Council of Princes is that elected European Union ministers should be seen to uphold their personal obligations. They are supposed to represent their electorates within Europe - not to represent Europe within their electorates, as so often appears to be the case. Since the British, unlike other nations, have no Written Constitution to uphold their civil liberties, Britain continually suffers from impositions that can justly be avoided in other countries. In June 1992, the presidency, long held by the House of Habsburg-Austria, was resigned in Strasbourg to the newly elected HRH Prince Michael Stewart, Count of Albany, 'de jure' Lord High Steward of Scotland. In this capacity, achieved by unanimous vote, he is now the chief international representative for thirty-three European dynastic Houses.

United Kingdom of Great Britain. Royal House of Windsor
The United Kingdom of Great Britain was founded in 1707 when the Kingdoms and Parliaments of both Scotland and England were dissolved. Although still referred to as the Kingdom of England, the fact is that it the Kingdom of England, as a proper entity, has not existed since May 1st, 1707. The same applies to Scotland. This is proved in the fact that, technically, the citizenship of either English or Scots (including the Welsh and Northern Irish) people is referred to as 'British'. From 1603 till 1649, both Kingdoms were ruled by one king and the Stewart dynasty. Power was lost to Cromwell and his Commonwealth but monarchy was restored in 1660. The Stuarts effectively lost power in 1688 and the succession passed in turn to the house of Orange-Stewart, then Stewart-Oldenburg and finally to the Hanoverian Electors. The succession then passed to the Ducal House of Saxe-Coburg who changed its name to Windsor in 1917. - royalhouseofstewart.org.uk

The Pilgrim's Routes and the Order of Malta
Born in Palestine to assist and defend pilgrims, the Order of St. John of Jerusalem's vocation rapidly expanded to cover not only those coming to the Holy Land but all those making a Pilgrimage to one of the major sanctuaries of Christendom.
Both J. Riley Smith and A. Luttrell have pointed out how in 1113, the year in which Paschal II formally recognised it, the Order was already running hospices in Asti, near the Alpine passes, and in the Ports of Pisa, Bari, Otranto, Taranto and Messina. Just as the seats of the four Italian Priories were situated in the crucial points of contact between Italy and the Holy Land: Venice, Pisa, Barletta and Messina.
It is therefore evident that the expansion of the Order of St. John in the west, in what from the perspective of Jerusalem and Rhodes was called ultramare, favoured the communication routes, ports, passes and road junctions. This was not only to ease the passage of those directed to the places where the Order's activity was concentrated, but also to implement its natural vocation for assistance to Pilgrims, addressed to the great Masses of people in continuous movement towards the holy places Christendom.
Pilgrims during the Jubilee in 1300. Miniatures from "Cronica" (Scarambi, Ms. 107).
To see the relationship between the Order of Malta and the pilgrim's routes and to assess the meaning and value of the great pilgrimage season expected for the end of this millennium, we must first of all establish what exactly the medieval pilgrim's route was, how it was organised, what its characteristics were and, above all, how we can reconstruct it for our times.
Besides pointing out historical and archaeological elements of the pilgrims' routes, we will also indicate useful factors for the Roman jubilee of 2000. There are different criteria for defining a pilgrims' route. First of all, this route must end in an important sacred place. The first consideration is that the itinerary must be functional for achieving the goal that constitutes its constant point of reference, and which guides and gives meaning to everything that happens along it.
The route leading to the shrine or the sacred place often takes their name: so we have the vie lauretane, via micaeliche and vie romee. The most famous example of this is the Camino de Santiago, which despite being also a trade and military route, takes its name from its more specific function, that of conducting pilgrims to the tomb of the Apostle James found in Galitiae in the furthest part of the medieval known world, in occasum mundi, or in finibus terrae, as we read in medieval texts.

The Knights of St John
|
|
The Knights of St John of Jerusalem known also as Knights of Rhodes and as Knights of Malta, was initially a religious and military order founded in Jerusalem in 7th BC, after the formation of the Latin Kingdom of Jerusalem. They took part in all the wars in the Holly Land against the Moslems. Gerard, their first leader, was called rector; later heads of the order were called grand masters. In 1308 they left the Holy Land with the collapse of the Crusader states and occupied the island of Rhodes. There they formed a territorial state until in 1522, when they surrendered the city and its inhabitants to the Ottoman Turks. They were permitted to leave and in 1530 they formed the order of the Knights of Malta. When Napoleon seized Malta, they were forced once again, to leave their occupied territory. The convent was moved to Trieste in 1798 and later, in 1834, to Rome. Today they form a religious community and maintain hospitals and medical centers. The grand master still holds a church rank equal to that of cardinal. - helios.gr

Le Cercle & The Order of St John of Jerusalem, of Rhodes, of Malta.
Le Cercle is clearly managed by people representing the British Throne and some powerful interests in the City of London. Queen Elizabeth II is head of the Order of St. John of Jerusalem, an order descended from the Knights Hospitaller (which absorbed the possessions of the Knights Templar in the early 14th century). Another great influence on Le Cercle has been (and likely still is) the Vatican's Sovereign Military Order of Malta, also descended from the Knights Hospitaller. SMOM is headed by Andrew Bertie, descendent of Mary Stuart and a cousin of Queen Elizabeth II. One of the founders of Le Cercle was Otto von Habsburg (once heir to the Austro-Hungarian throne) who was the longtime president of the European Council of Princes. This Council of Princes is now being headed by HRH Prince Michael Stewart. In the past, the Council has been funded by the CIA (because of its anti-communist sympathies), an intelligence agency set up and headed by members of the Knights of Malta. On the Stewart's / European Council of Princes' website you can see how the European Council of Princes, The Order of St. John of Jersualem, The Sovereign Military Order of Malta, the Ordo Draconis, Freemansonry, the Knights Hospitaller, and the Knights Templar are all intertwined with each other. A lot of people might have already read about this, but the fact that it's all published on an official website is quite extraordinary.

The Rhodes Trust
The Rhodes Trust was established and endowed by the Will of Cecil John Rhodes, who died in 1902. Cecil Rhodes emigrated to South Africa in 1870. He obtained a large interest in the Kimberley diamond mines. By 1888, he had amalgamated them into the De Beers Consolidated Mines, of which he became chairman. He was prominent in the politics of the colony of the Cape of Good Hope (Prime Minister 1890-96). Much of his energy was devoted to the expansion of British imperialist interests in Southern Africa. This included the establishment of control over the area which became the future Rhodesia (today the state of Zimbabwe) for which he fought two wars in Matabeleland. He was also implicated in the Jameson Raid designed to subvert Boer rule in the Transvaal.
Cecil Rhodes designed his Trust for the purpose of educating future leaders of the world. He had studied at Oxford and felt that its organisation especially fostered broad views and personal development. A product of his time, he thought that peace, progress and prosperity would be led by the most developed economic powers which he saw as advanced civilisations. Thus, his scholarships were for countries then part of the British Empire, for the United States, and for Germany.
There were originally 52 scholarships. During the ensuing 100 years, the Trustees added at one time or another approximately another 40 scholarships, though not all have continued. Some of these extended the scheme to Commonwealth countries not mentioned in the Will.
Cecil Rhodes directed that the selection of scholars should be based on academic ability; sporting activity; qualities of personal rectitude, strength and compassion; and sense of the public good. The Trust continues to respect the spirit of these definitions, as identified within our contemporary context. Thus, while the Trustees believe that high academic attainment is a prerequisite, they also believe in the necessity of attainment in the area broadly defined by the terms of the Will.
There have been nearly 7,000 Rhodes Scholars since the inception of the Trust. Over 4,000 are still living. - rhodeshouse.ox.ac.uk

BILDERBERG takes its name from a Dutch hotel where, in the early 1950s, the first meeting took place under the aegis of Prince Bernhard. The occasion has outgrown the hotel, but the Dutch link remains. Among several European royals who attend as occasional guests, Queen Beatrix and her husband come regularly. A Dutch professor who has brokered coalition governments into existence on her behalf is one of the secretary-generals (the other, American, one lives in San Francisco), and Bilderberg's tiny secretariat sits in The Hague. The meetings now take place by informal rotation in countries of the Atlantic community.
Some 100 or more attend, by invitation of a steering committee. The meetings happen once a year, in the spring. They last 2.5 days (Thursday night until Sunday lunch) and are held in varying but always comfortable surroundings - in 1987 Lake Como, before that Gleneagles. Apart from a half-day on the golf links or sleeping off the previous night's dinner, morning and afternoon sessions fill up the time.
|
A mixture of able and distinguished folk attend - a sprinkling of serving prime and cabinet ministers, central-bank governors, defence and other experts. They talk, often to galvanising and fascinating effect, about the main issues of the day - East-West relations, arms control, deficits, debt, the Falklands, sanctions, whatever. Their thoughts may not be repeated outside the meetings and never are. This frustrates outsiders but helps 100 great and good people be frank with each other, as does the fact that Bilderberg members are limited to people of NATO and West European countries who know how to be kind or rude to each other without causing such misunderstandings as would occur if Indians, Fijians, Africans, Chinese or Japanese were also present.

Bohemian Grove
Bohemian Grove, a secluded campground in California's Sonoma County, is thesite of an annual two-week gathering of a highly select, all-male club, whose members have included every Republican president since CalvinCoolidge. Current participants include George Bush, Henry Kissinger, JamesBaker and David Rockefeller -- a virtual who's who of the most powerful menin business and government.
Few journalists have gotten into the Grove and been allowed to tell thetale (one exception is Philip Weiss, whose November 1989 Spy piece provides the most detailed inside account), and members maintain that the goings-on there are not newsworthy events, merely private fun. In fact, official business is conducted there: Policy speeches are regularly made by members and guests, and the club privately boasts that the Manhattan Project was conceived on its grounds.
Given the veil of secrecy that surrounds the Bohemian "encampment," areporter needs to enter the grounds covertly in order to get a fullportrait. Mathison entered the grounds three times July 1991, aided byactivists from the Bohemian Grove Action Network.
He witnessed a speech -- "Smart Weapons" -- by former Navy Secretary JohnLehman, who stated that the Pentagon estimates that 200,000 Iraqis werekilled by the U.S. and its allies during the Gulf War. Other featuredspeakers included Defense Secretary Richard Cheney on "Major DefenseProblems of the 21st Century", former Health, Education and WelfareSecretary Joseph Califano on "America's Health Revolution -- Who Lives, WhoDies, Who Pays", and former Attorney General Elliott Richardson on"Defining the New World Order".

The Three Sisters and Other Institutions
Global Governance and the Three Sisters
The World Bank, the IMF, and the WTO wield tremendous power and influence, especially in the developing world, but many critics accuse the three institutions of lacking democratic decision-making processes, transparency, and accountability.
The World Bank
the Bank, which is based in Washington, DC, and does most of its lending to governments of poor countries for development projects. While the Bank insists that "fighting poverty" is its first priority, many critics believe instead that it is responsible for rising poverty.
The International Monetary Fund
the Fund, a multilateral lending institution based in Washington that maintains a loose relationship to the UN. It provides loans to help stabilize faltering economies. In recent years, the Fund has come under increasing criticism for its harsh neoliberal policies and invasive loan conditionalities.
The World Trade Organization
The World Trade Organization is of great influence on a wide-range of global policy issues -- not only trade in goods, but also investment, patents, environmental regulations and many more.
Internal Critics of the World Bank and the IMF
Several top World Bank employees, including former chief economist Joseph Stiglitz, have spoken out against both the World Bank and the IMF.
Group of Seven / Group of Eight
The G7/G8 Summit has consistently dealt with macroeconomic management, international trade, and relations with developing countries. Questions of East-West economic relations, energy, and terrorism have also been of recurrent concern. From this initial foundation the Summit agenda has broadened considerably to include other microeconomic issues.
Multilateral Agreement on Investment
In May 1995, the Organization of Economic Co-operation and Development committed itself to the immediate start of negotiations aimed at reaching a Multilateral Agreement on Investment (MAI).
NGOs and Social & Economic Justice
In recent years, protesters have turned out in force at almost every major international forum or summit, especially the G7/G8 meetings and the meetings of the World Bank, the IMF and the WTO. Activist groups have mobilized large numbers to oppose business-driven globalization, war and undemocratic decision-making, and to press for global peace and justice. In this struggle, groups such as NGOs and trade unions, who traditionally did not share a common agendas, came together to work towards common goals.

The Club Of Rome
"The Club of Rome is a group of scientists, economists, businessmen, international high civil servants, heads of State and former heads of State who pool their different experiences from a wide range of backgrounds to come to a deeper understanding of the world problematique..."
"...'World Problematique' is a concept created by the Club of Rome to describe the set of the crucial problems political, social, economic, technological, environmental, psychological and cultural - facing humanity.
The complexity of the world problematique lies in the high level of mutual interdependence of all these problems on the one hand, and in the long time it often takes until the impact of action and reaction in this complex system becomes visible."
source
|
The initial membership list of the Club of Rome, as it turns out, contains some interesting names:
David Rockefeller: Bilderberger, cofounder of the Trilateral Commission, former chairman of the Council on Foreign Relations, scion of the world's most prominent oil dynasty, and all-around bad guy.
John J. McCloy: Former advisor to the Mussolini regime who had the honor of sitting in Adolf Hitler's private box at the Berlin Olympic games; later served as High Commissioner of Germany, during which time he signed an order freeing the majority of the Nazi war criminals that had been convicted at Nuremberg; still later, served on the infamous Warren Committee.
Averell Harriman: Skull and Bonesman and high-level political operative through several presidential administrations; together with members of the Dulles family and the Bush/Walker family, established various business entities engaged in providing funding to Nazi Germany, even after the United States had entered the war.
Katherine Graham: Longtime publisher of the Washington Post and longtime CIA asset who once famously said, while speaking at the CIA's Langley, Virginia headquarters:
"We live in a dirty and dangerous world. There are some things the general public does not need to know and shouldn't. I believe democracy flourishes when the government can take legitimate steps to keep its secrets and when the press can decide whether to print what it knows."

The Club of Rome: Comments on Globalization - 1996
Government, Governance and Democratic Deficit.
1. With the end of communism we entered an era of the market-economy (and
belonging to the world-economy) and democracy all over the world - at least as an
aim to strive for. Globalization can be described and understood in terms of
economic globalization, of globalization caused by technology and communications,
and of political globalization, the ambition of all nations to belong to the first world; in
terms of "market" and "democracy".
2. To a certain extent "globalization" is "westernization", at least until now. One might
call globalization the ultimate of the age of Enlightenment. The Enlightenment has
liberated forces leading to economy, technology (as a sequence of science),
individualism and pluralism. It is exactly this combination of creative forces which
has given shape and substance to the modern world.
3. At the same time, the Enlightenment has given birth to the concept of democracy
and democratic government. From the peace of Westphalia, the Glorious
Revolution, the French Revolution, 1848 (constitutional monarchies), the American
Declaration of Independence, the abolition of slavery, women's right to vote, until
the end of the colonial era, as well as the end of communism, we have seen a long
march towards modern democracy [still not completed in a number of emerging
nations, these are as yet not considered as "established" democracies]

The United Nations
The name "United Nations", coined by United States President Franklin D. Roosevelt, was first used in the "Declaration by United Nations" of 1 January 1942, during the Second World War, when representatives of 26 nations pledged their Governments to continue fighting together against the Axis Powers.
States first established international organizations to cooperate on specific matters. The International Telecommunication Union was founded in 1865 as the International Telegraph Union, and the Universal Postal Union was established in 1874. Both are now United Nations specialized agencies.
In 1899, the International Peace Conference was held in The Hague to elaborate instruments for settling crises peacefully, preventing wars and codifying rules of warfare. It adopted the Convention for the Pacific Settlement of International Disputes and established the Permanent Court of Arbitration, which began work in 1902.
The forerunner of the United Nations was the League of Nations, an organization conceived in similar circumstances during the first World War, and established in 1919 under the Treaty of Versailles "to promote international cooperation and to achieve peace and security." The International Labour Organization was also created under the Treaty of Versailles as an affiliated agency of the League. The League of Nations ceased its activities after failing to prevent the Second World War.
In 1945, representatives of 50 countries met in San Francisco at the United Nations Conference on International Organization to draw up the United Nations Charter. Those delegates deliberated on the basis of proposals worked out by the representatives of China, the Soviet Union, the United Kingdom and the United States at Dumbarton Oaks, United States in August-October 1944. The Charter was signed on 26 June 1945 by the representatives of the 50 countries. Poland, which was not represented at the Conference, signed it later and became one of the original 51 Member States.
The United Nations officially came into existence on 24 October 1945, when the Charter had been ratified by China, France, the Soviet Union, the United Kingdom, the United States and by a majority of other signatories. - un.org

"The most significant finding in the Second Interim Report is that Iqbal Riza, Kofi Annan's chief of staff, authorized the shredding of thousands of U.N. documents between April and December 2004. Among these documents were the entire U.N. Chef de Cabinet chronological files for 1997, 1998, and 1999-many of which related to the Oil-for-Food Program. - [Faux news?]
Just how absurd the United Nations has become is highlighted by Libya's recently serving [2004] as head of its Human Rights Commission -- and the U.S. seat on the commission was handed over to that garden spot of liberty, Syria.

The Office of Strategic Services (OSS) was created by President Franklin D. Roosevelt in July 1942. The OSS replaced the former American intelligence system, Office of the Coordinator of Information (OCI) that was considered to be ineffective. Roosevelt selected Colonel William Donovan as the first director of the organization, who had spent some time studying the Special Operations Executive (SOE), an organization set up by the British government in July 1940.
The OSS had responsibility for collecting and analyzing information about countries at war with the United States. It also helped to organize guerrilla fighting, sabotage and espionage. Some senior US military figures disapproved of the OSS and General Douglas MacArthur refused to allow the organization to operate in the Philippines.
One of the most important OSS operations was run by Allen Dulles in Switzerland who was able to use his base in this neutral country to obtain important information on Nazi Germany and the Gestapo.
William Donovan was given the rank of major general and during the Second World War he built up a team of 16,000 agents working behind enemy lines. The growth of the OSS brought conflict with John Edgar Hoover who saw it as a rival to the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
The OSS was disbanded in October 1945 and was eventually replaced by the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). - OSS

The Special Operations Executive (SOE) was established in 1940, partly from the then Section D of SIS. After the War it was disbanded and some of its members were reabsorbed into SIS.
With the passing of the Intelligence Services Act, SIS was placed on a statutory footing under the Foreign & Commonwealth Secretary to whom it is responsible for all aspects of its work. The Act defines the functions of the Service and the responsibilities of its Chief, as well as establishing control and oversight arrangements. The Service's principal role is the production of secret intelligence in support of Her Majesty's Government's security, defence, foreign and economic policies within the framework of requirements laid upon it by the JIC and approved by Ministers. It meets these JIC requirements for intelligence gathering and other tasks through a variety of sources, human and technical, and by liaison with a wide range of foreign intelligence and security services. Specific operations are subject to longstanding procedures for official and ministerial clearance.
As the CIA is known as "The Company," SIS is known internally as "The Firm" and to other agencies as "The Friends." SIS is based at 85 Albert Embankment, Vauxhall Cross in London (known to those who work there as "Legoland"). MI6 also paid for a number of telephones located in a busy street in south London (Borough High Street in Southwark, opposite the Police Station) which has been identified as the spy training centre. The main training centre is Fort Monckton, a Napoleonic fort on the south coast at Gosport in Hampshire. What is thought to have been MI6's former City of London office is located in an office block in the Square Mile.

The IMF & World Bank
The IMF was assigned to prevent the sort of global economic crisis that engulfed the world during the Great Depression of the 1930s: it would monitor a new system for valuing national currencies, the dollar-gold standard, to maintain international economic stability; make short-term loans to countries experiencing balance-of-payments problems; and compile an annual report on each member country's economy. The International Bank for Reconstruction and Development - which came to be called the World Bank - was established to provide funds for the reconstruction of Europe and East Asia after World War II. However, the U.S. Marshall Plan eclipsed its part in that effort, and it turned to financing infrastructure projects in Latin America and newly independent countries like India and Indonesia.
The Grim Reapers
The seeds of what the IMF and World Bank have become were sown from the very beginning in an imbalance of power and lack of democratic governance, even though it was not until the 1970s that the institutions became really controversial. Their constitutions (called "Articles of Agreement") guaranteed that the wealthiest countries would always retain control of the institutions' policies: votes on the board are allotted on the basis of how much money each country donates and a government cannot decide to pay more and get more votes - the proportions were and still are carefully managed.
|
Today, the G8 countries (the U.S., Japan, Germany, France, the U.K., Italy, Canada, and Russia) control about 50% of the total votes, and any changes to core policies require an 85% super-majority vote. The United States has always ensured that its percentage of total votes on each board remains above 15% giving it virtual veto power. By unwritten agreement, the head of the World Bank is always a U.S. citizen, chosen by the President of the U.S., and the head of the IMF is always from Western Europe. The institutions are headquartered in the capital of the country making the largest contribution (hence Washington, DC). These percentages and customs have remained in place even as the membership of the institutions has expanded through the era of decolonization and the collapse of the Soviet Union; they now have over four times as many members (184) as they did when they started out. -

World Economic Forum
The United States Vice President Dick Cheney has urged countries around the globe to unite in promoting democracy. He told more than a thousand people at a plenary session that democracy was the best way to fight global terrorism.
World Economic Forum
"Eva Biaudet, a Finnish MP and former health minister, said the vice-president had failed to touch upon key issues like "poverty, injustice and development", while she was shocked by what she called Mr Cheney's "militaristic view of how to get democracy".

Africa and climate change top G-8 agenda
Africa and climate change top the agenda of the G-8 Summit (6-8 July). On the issue of climate change, the heads of 24 global companies expressed their strong support for action to mitigate climate change in a statement prepared by the G-8 Climate Change Roundtable convened by the World Economic Forum.

Mbeki: time for Africa to seize the moment
South African President Thabo Mbeki has called on the developed world to deliver pledged resources to Africa as business leaders at the Africa Economic Summit formally pledged to invest in growth on the continent, a key tenet of the Commission for Africa Report.
"What must happen now is that the necessary resources are committed. The Commission for Africa Report should be very useful in getting the G-8 to make specific commitments to turn rhetoric into reality," Mbeki told hundreds of participants at the close of the Africa Economic Summit.
"Let's give President Mbeki something to take to [the G-8 summit next month in] Gleneagles," said Lazarus Zim, Chief Executive, Anglo American Corporation of South Africa, referring to a 'Business Endorsement of Recommendations of the Commission for Africa', signed by almost 400 African private sector leaders at the Summit.
"We must step up to the plate rather than wait to be asked," said Niall FitzGerald, Chairman, Reuters. A priority action for business after the Summit should be continued business support of the Commission for Africa.
Graham Mackay, Chief Executive, SABMiller, United Kingdom, urged African governments to
"create a level playing field and then get out of the way"
to let the business of Africa be business. - weforum.org

Africa 'better in colonial times' - Thabo's brother Moeletsi Mbeki
Some 90 million Nigerians live in poverty, Mr Mbeki said
The average African is worse off now than during the colonial era, the brother of South Africa's President Thabo Mbeki has said. Moeletsi Mbeki accused African elites of stealing money and keeping it abroad, while colonial rulers planted crops and built roads and cities.
"This is one of the depressing features of Africa," he said. - BBC

The G8
The Group of Eight (G8) is the coalition of eight of the world's leading industrialized nations: France, Germany (West Germany to 1991), Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom, the United States, (the G6, 1975), Canada (the G7, 1976), and Russia (not participating in all events), as well as the European Union. The hallmark of the G8 is an annual economic and political summit of the heads of government with international officials, though there are numerous subsidiary meetings and policy research. - wikipedia

THE NEW WORLD ORDER
"When Europe and United States are united no problem and no enemy can
stand against us," said Romano Prodi, president of the European
Commission. "If we fail to unite every problem may become a crisis and
every enemy a gigantic monster."
"Many people have said that Europe is too old," Prodi said, a reference
to Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld calling anti-war allies part of "old
Europe." Said Prodi: "Maybe, but the old age helps us to understand our
strengths and our weakness."
Bush replied with a smile, "You're looking pretty young these days."

Unprecedented Police and Military Build-Up Stymies Democratic Dissent in Coastal Georgia and San Francisco
As leaders of world's richest nations gather in opulent Sea Island, Ga., nearby Brunswick is under military occupation.
The Governor has declared a state of emergency; thousands of police, federal law enforcement and national guard have swarmed the region, outnumbering activists by a factor of ten.
Ongoing surveillance and harassment of anyone suspected to be a protester, a community organizer, or even a sympathetic resident has exacted a heavy toll.

Governor declares state of emergency for G-8 Summit
Six coastal Georgia counties affected by the G-8 summit on Sea Island next month will be under a state of emergency order beginning Monday. No, Gov. Sonny Perdue, who issued the order, doesn't know something about the weather coastal residents don't. And I-16 won't automatically become one-way west, as it does in hurricane evacuations. Citing, among other reasons, the "potential danger to the persons and property of this state from unlawful assemblages, threats of violence and otherwise," the executive order creates a unified public safety command for the summit. By aligning theGeorgia Army National Guard and state law enforcement and public health under one office, the order potentially reduces the response time of state agencies for terrorist strikes or disruptive demonstrations, Harold Melton, Perdue's executive counsel, said Friday. Bill Hitchens Jr., the head of Georgia's homeland security office, will lead the command.

Parts of St. Simons Island are looking less like a resort town and more like a military installation.
Army helicopters dot the tarmac at McKinnon-St. Simons Island Airport, as a steady stream of military equipment has been coming for the past two weeks.
A hangar located on the north side of the airport has been converted as a focal point for security, and is surrounded by communications equipment, army tents, and of course, military and police aircraft.
The airport will be closed to civilian aircraft during the summit.

Think Tanks:...
war mongering - beaurocracy...and BULLSHIT
"While the rise to power of the Bush gang, the neoconservatives, belatedly preoccupied the American media, the message of their equivalents in the Democratic Party has been of little interest. Yet the similarities are compelling.
Shortly before Bush's "election" in 2000, the Project for the New American Century, the neoconservative pressure group, published an ideological blueprint for "maintaining global US pre-eminence, precluding the rise of a great power rival, and shaping the international security order in line with American principles and interests". Every one of its recommendations for aggression and conquest was adopted by the administration.
One year later, the Progressive Policy Institute, an arm of the Democratic Leadership Council, published a 19-page manifesto for the "New Democrats", who include all the principal Democratic Party candidates, and especially John Kerry. This called for "the bold exercise of American power" at the heart of "a new Democratic strategy, grounded in the party's tradition of muscular internationalism". Such a strategy would "keep Americans safer than the Republicans' go-it-alone policy, which has alienated our natural allies and overstretched our resources. We aim to rebuild the moral foundation of US global leadership ..."
